We are pleased to introduce the new floor lamp ZED.
ZED is a name and a symbol bringing us back to distant times and civilizations, to a mystery among mysteries of the Ancient Egyptians. Its shape has inspired the most disparate interpretations, but nobody knows its original meaning. One thing is clear: the Zed (Djed) recalls something firm, solid, lasting, not by chance is depicted as a column supporting the vault of the sky or the sun. It’s a symbol of rebirth and energy; God Osiris’ backbone, for the Egyptians the channel through which cosmic energy flows, preserving harmony and balance of life. What better inspiration?
